“The International Horticultural Exhibition 2024 Chengdu (Chengdu Exhibition) is a splendid show of the floral culture. It brings the event to a new standard,” noted Leonardo Capitanio, president of Association Internationale des producteurs de 1'Horticulure (International Association of Horticultural Producers), at an interview of professionals in Chengdu on the afternoon of April 26. He praised the preparation work and the presentation of Chengdu Exhibition, saying it displayed “eye-catching” distinctiveness on many aspects and he had great expectations of the ensuing happenings.

This is Mr.Capitanio’s second visit to Chengdu which, as he said, has enriched his experience and understanding of the city. “It’s great for me to appreciate more scenic spots in Chengdu and to know more about this beautiful city,” he said, noting that he had a look of China in more dimensions, a country following the green development concept. “The witness of the ecological landscapes, the gardening landscapes and so on brought me to the realization of the future planning for sustainable development in Chengdu, Sichuan and across the whole country. The layout of construction and the benefits and convenience of low-carbon traffic facilities, as well as the application of new science and technologies, all make me believe that the country will have a bright prospect in future development,” he said.
