The ceremony for the official launch of Chengdu International Friendship Pavilion was celebrated at the main venue of International Horticultural Exhibition 2024 Chengdu in Chengdu Eastern New Area, witnessed by representatives from 19 sister cities of Chengdu from 18 countries, including Montpelier of France, Phoenix City of the US, Chiang Mai Province of Thailand, Fez of Morocco and Merida of Mexico.

Delegations from Chendu’s sister citiessuch as Linz of Austria, Koufushi of Japan, Palermo of Italy, Bonn of Germany and Gold Coast of Australia and International Cities of Friendship Cooperation such as Izmir and Beyoglu of Turkey, Milan of Italy, Vienna of Austria and Melbourne of Australia presented gifts to Chengdu for the opening of Chengdu International Friendship Pavilion, and then joined hands in the program of planting the saplings of the Gingko tree, the city tree of Chengdu.

Located at the main venue of International Horticultural Exhibition 2024 Chengdu, Chengdu International Friendship Pavilion has a total construction area of 3, 930 square meters, of which about 2, 000 square meters are used as a showcase of the text, picture, audio & visual and material exhibits on Chengdu’s achievement in opening up and international exchanges with international sister cities.
