The Day of Changsha kicked off on the morning of May 18 at the foot of the giant Ferris wheel of Tianfu Eye, a major sight at the main venue of International Horticultural Exhibition 2024 Chengdu (the Expo). The presentation of the City Walk Ecological Tourist Route in Changsha was launched at the same time, together with the opening of Changsha Garden, which occupies an area of 1, 500 square meters.

The Day of Changsha put on show a colorful presentation of cultural and tourism programs featuring the elements of Changsha, the capital of Hunan province in central China. Visitors at the venue enjoyed a palatial and eye feast with foods of Changsha and fantastic art performances. 

Officials from Changsha Forestry Bureau expressed the wish to invite domestic and overseas visitors to visit the city of Changsha at a promotion program recommending the tourist route of ecological City Walk in the city. The designs at Changsha Garden, a showcase of the indigenous plant species of Changsha, and the cultural elements of Changsha, left a deep impression on visitors to the venue. “I have had a unique experience in the garden,” said Wang Xiang, a visitor from Chongqing.
