The Flower Arrangement Competition of International Horticultural Exhibition 2024 Chengdu (the Expo) concluded on June 7 at the main venue of the Expo in Chengdu Eastern New Area. The event attracted over 50 contestants from home and abroad, who presented a splendid display of the art of flower arrangement with their brilliant skills and creativity.

With the themes of The Classical Charm of Brocade City and Weaving Dreams of the Future, the event staged competitions of two categories － the classical flower arrangement and modern flower arrangement, where contestants created more than 100 excellent works which, artfully arranged in various containers, give prominence to harmony, balance and natural beauty and vividly represent the messages towards life, emotions and cultural communication.

A total of 58 awards, including three grand awards, six gold awards, 10 silver awards and 10 bronze awards, were given to works in the categories of classical flower arrangement and modern flower arrangement at the awarding ceremony of the event. The works of the contestants and invited guests will be displayed at the main exhibition hall of the expo, and other international competition events on lotus flowers, orchids, hibiscus flowers and chrysanthemum will also be held afterwards.
