As the International Horticultural Exhibition 2024 Chengdu (the Expo) is gaining popularity, the “My Vision of the Horticultural Exposition” artwork collection from primary and middle school students nationwide has increased its tempo, with the contributed works highlighting the theme of environmental protection as children expressed their yearning and love for the green environment.

With the arrival of summer holidays, more and more students visited the Expo to experience the charm of horticulture and nature, developing a wider interest in biodiversity and green environmental protection in the process. The children, inspired by their surroundings, turned to their pencils and paintbrushes to express their views and aspirations for ecological conservation. Their works showcase lush forests, crystal-clear rivers, vibrant animal kingdoms, and heartwarming scenes of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.

Chen Xuejiao from the Experimental Primary School Attached to Sichuan University, who also served as a young guide at Chengdu Museum for two years, enjoys sharing fascinating animal tales with visitors. Her submission depicts a verdant forest where elephants, giraffes, pandas, and other animals coexist harmoniously － A girl and boy in the painting embody the artist's profound love and curiosity for nature, urging viewers to protect our planet and preserve biodiversity.

Xue Lingshu from Chengdu Longwangmiao Zhengjie Primary School focused on air purification and health in her artwork, enhancing the awareness of people to cherish the Earth.

These submissions with innocence and creativity convey the message of human-nature connections and children's happiness and visions. They serve as vivid environmental education lessons and add vibrant colors to the Expo.
