A delegation from the Japanese Landscape Architecture Design Consultation Association (CLA) visited the main venue of the Expo to investigate the planning, construction, and operation of the event.
As the host city of the International Horticultural Exhibition, Chengdu has attracted international attention and high praise from the horticultural industry for the city’s unique geographical conditions, rich biodiversity, and experience in building a park city. The city of Yokohama in Japan has won the right to host the International Horticultural Exhibition in 2027, and the CLA's investigation was aimed at learning from Chengdu's experience and strengthening exchanges.
During the investigation, the delegation visited various sites such as the Chengdu Garden and Beijing Garden, and the Jinyun Tower. They also experienced Sichuan's distinctive culture, including face-changing performances.
At each of the locations, the CLA staff members meticulously inquired about the design concepts and architectural features of each exhibition garden. They took photos with cameras and mobile phones of the plants or garden designs during the journey while discussing he scenes.
