The first stay during the visit was the displaying garden of the Association of Taiwan Orchid Cultivators, where they had a look of various kinds of Moth orchid (Phalaenopsis amabilis), the aboriginal species from Taiwan province. Director of the garden Zhan Haochun explained that the association brought the seeds of more than 30 rare species of Moth orchid from Taiwan province to Chengdu and had them bred and cultivated in Chengdu and put on display during the Expo. “I have a special experience at the Expo, and I wish to take the event as a platform to foster new modes for the exchange of the horticultural industry between the Strait,” he said.
