The International Horticultural Exhibition is a high-level professional international horticultural exhibition approved by the Association of International Horticultural Producers in the Netherlands. Founded in 1960, the International Horticultural Exhibition is a joint exhibition of gardening and horticultural excellence, exotic flowers and plants of all countries in the world, which is regarded as the “Olympic Games” in the field of floriculture and horticulture. Since 1999, when the Expo was first held in Kunming, China has successfully held many International Horticultural Exhibitions in Shenyang, Xi'an, Beijing, Yangzhou and other cities, each of which has attracted the world's attention and become an important window for China's ecological civilization construction. In 2021, AIPH sent a letter to Chengdu confirming that Chengdu has officially won the right to host the International Horticultural Exhibition 2024, marking that Chengdu will present to the world a horticultural exhibition with international standard, highlighting Chinese characteristics and reflecting the charm of Ba Shu.

International Horticultural Exhibition 2024 Chengdu is held from April 26 to October 28, 2024, with a total duration of 186 days. With the theme of “Park City, Beautiful Habitat”, the main venue is located in the middle of Jiangxi River Ecological Green Corridor in the East New District of Chengdu, nestled against the Longquan Mountain and near the Sanqiao Lake.The area integrates mountains and water,with rolling hills and interconnected fields. Here, the Ferris wheel rising from the ground is like the eye of Tianfu, overlooking the hibiscus like brocade and the embroidery of green clouds. The design of the park fully preserves the original green base, organically combines the ecological background and the planned landscape, and presents the characteristics of Chengdu and the landscape style of the city of the future. The construction of the main venue is inspired by the hibiscus flower, and from the air, the whole park looks like a blooming hibiscus flower, welcoming guests from all over the world. The park is surrounded by lush trees and water system,with the Jiangxi River, the Bamboo Bridge, Yueyang Bridge Yufu Bridge and other landscape bridges, are lined up one after another, constituting a beautiful ecological picture scroll.

The Expo 2024 Chengdu has invited five famous Chinese female artists to serve as public service ambassadors of the beauty of gardens, and to brilliantly interpret the “Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter” four groups of national style themed blockbusters. They include famous actresses Jiang Xin, Wu Junmei, Hao Lei, Mao Xiaotong and famous host Zhou Tao.

Hao Lei, a famous Chinese actress who has appeared in many TV series and films, is known as the “uncrowned king” of the film and television by netizens. Her shooting locations were mainly in the Chengdu Garden and Beijing Garden of the Expo Chengdu, and combined with the Sichuan Opera, an intangible cultural heritage project，to add more Sichuan colors to the set.

Famous actress Mao Xiaotong is the perfect choice to interpret the summer theme, with her sweet image bringing a touch of coolness to the hot summer.
