On the afternoon of October 4, following the sound of live popular music and the cheers of visitors, the reporter, together with online and offline audiences, enjoyed a wonderful live variety show at the Jinyun Tower at the main venue of the International Horticultural Exhibition 2024 Chengdu (the EXPO). On the stage, the performers actively interacted with both the live audience and the online viewers. They enthusiastically interpreted songs familiar to the public, captivating lots of local citizens and tourists of all ages. Among the audience, a little girl named Feifei, who was just over one year old, sat in her stroller and couldn’t help but dance along to the music, looking so adorable. Feifei’s grandparents told the reporter that their family lives in Chengdu, and during the National Day holiday, they brought their grandchild to the EXPO to experience the horticultural culture and festive atmosphere.

"Look, that's Zhong Zhong, who starred in a famous local TV series named A Happy Henpeck." With a large crowd of audience gathering around the stage, Zhong Zhong showed up on the stage and interacted with the audience, pushing the atmosphere to a climax. "The Jinyun Tower is definitely one of the must-visit spots in the EXPO Park. I didn’t expect to watch such an impressive show by our local famous comedian right here in Chengdu," said a young girl surnamed Chen. During the show, more and more spectators interacted with the performers, waving their arms to the beat of the music.

Off the stage, Zhong Zhong told the reporter that the performance was meant to create a lively festive atmosphere on-site and add fun to the experience of the visitors during the National Day holiday at the EXPO. And he hoped to use live streaming to promote his hometown to people across China and attract more attention to Chengdu and the EXPO. He mentioned that from October 4th to 7th, he and other performers will continue to put on shows at the venue. He also planned to produce large-scale live streaming performances based on the scenes of the EXPO.

The organizers have planned over 110 cultural events and activities themed around the grand EXPO and happy National Day holiday, which are held at the main venue of the EXPO, including light and shadow shows, cultural performances, and interactive programs. The programs involve 14 different scenes within the main venue, offering visitors an immersive and all-age-friendly cultural and tourism feasts.
